To my friends with the kind words

They mean a tremendous amount to me.

There are some brilliant folks on this board without degrees.
There are some brilliant folks with degrees.

I've taught, helped manage a business, been a consultant.
Over time I discovered I was rarely the smartest guy in the room. There's too much to know.

I've learned that everybody here and everywhere is simply trying to do the best they can. Very few people are trying to hurt the folks they know.

Now the line gets crossed when you stop thinking about will my words hurt others.

The most non-sensical common teaching in our culture is that sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you!!!

We are creatures of language. Nothing hurts more than I don't love you if you love somebody else. All of literature and entertainment is based on those words.

Anyway.....on a side note. Yesterday, for me was an amazing day. I got to talk with Nolan Bushness for a while about how we might use technology to improve the teaching of tolerance.

Yes, the small board are old friends of Peter's.....Would that I had Peter's friends. Some of the sharpest minds of this generation. How many tiny companies have the most experienced expert on computer gaming ON THE PLANET on their board???
