Its actually listed as a class 8 highway tractor. Class 8 is a weight classification assigned according to amount of weight the unit can haul.

Lets address the 800# gorilla in the room. The lithium shortage.

The model 3 has 40# of lithium in the vehicle. What does /will a class 8 highway tractor require?

Unknown. Tesla/ others won't release that number, wonder why?

If their is a shortage, as the previous article suggests then that means the laws of supply and damage take over and who knows what that new truck will cost to produce. Anyone buying this new truck, or putting in an order could get a real shock when production actually starts and the cost could balloon over 200k each. Just my opinion, but differently something to keep an eye on.
