10:35 AM EST, 01/11/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Corning's (GLW) Singapore unit and Irico Display Devices are planning to form a joint venture to produce thin film transistor (TFT) LCD glass substrate.
TFT-LCD is used as a substrate for various types of displays such as televisions, personal computers, smart phones, tablet devices, and in-vehicle infotainment.
According to a filing on the Shanghai exchange Irico will take a 51% stake and contribute $10.2 million while Corning will hold 49% with $9.8 million contributed.
