No, but I wonder if you might be. In oncology, "regression" is good (tumor shrinking) and "progression" is bad (tumor increasing). This is standard terminology. When speaking about cancer patients, if a person says, "It sure made me feel good to hear her say that ALL of the patients were progressing," then either that person is a sadist or they misunderstand what "progressing" means.
