Brilliant post, Fido! Very well explained. That's been my point for quite some time. Validian isn't in the market to prevent all hacking activity, which would make it the be all of cyber security products. It exist to make hacking a futile venture from a monetary standpoint. Why hack if you can't sell the information or make criminal use of that information?
The statement of Raphael gorgol that it has a niche and is not the be-all product is an obsolete statement. The product basically says "go ahead and hack us, because the materials you access will be completely protected and utterly worthless on the open market".
The time it has taken since the last revision of the product is fairly typical in this field. However, the time for testing is drawing to an end and it is time to start signing people up.
I remain hopeful, but I am not a cheerleader. I develop my own opinions independently without outside influence.
