Thank you so much for jumping in on this.

There's a lurking caveat in it:

How many shares or units are being sought?

I'll betcha we're talking about a couple of hundred at a time in which case upping the offer a nickel will have somebody on the other end of the deal feeling good but will cost the buyer just $10. Is $10 enough to warrant having to watch anxiously until the trade goes through---or doesn't? Remember, he's doing this as part of a multi-trade scheme so a need to rethink things will probably be part of the overall picture before all is done.

That is just too old fashioned for me. Too, we folks on this board have been making so much money and we know it's going to continue---it can't possibly hurt us in any way if we spread $10 around in new year charm.

There are times when we traders/investors experience difficult times and find it difficult to shake off the garments of doom assailing us in previous lifetimes. When we're lucky enough, we live again. We may forget to grant ourselves fresh room in which to grow new wings.

My thoughts, anyhow.
