In the aftermath of the AG's directive to federal district attorneys to enforce the laws on the books, the sentiment on the OTC reefer scam stock forums is positive.

Some messages talk about the Congress actually passing legislation that would essentially legalize the use of recreational reefer in 2018.

Although there is much table pounding and foot stomping by some legislators from states where reefer use is allowed, these folks don't understand how the Congress took a hands off stance concerning any form of legalization during the Obama administration.

Holder, the then AG adopted Obama's policy not to bust up dispensaries and growing operations while looking from a distance as state after state adopted some form of legalization, medical or recreational.

The anti reefer lobby will obviously kick it up a notch to thwart any efforts to draft any form of legislation that essentially OKs the medical and recreational use of reefer.

It may be such a hot potato that even the advocates of nationwide legalization will try to deter or delay any attempts to bring any form of legislation to a floor vote.

It will be interesting to observe what develops in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
