Is it really that improbable that our Markers are entitled to all or a portion of the DB settlement?

It has been shown that companies usually retain percentages of the MBS's sold to third party investors.

These retained interests are usually in the lower and more risky Tranches of the respective MBS products.

In that event, wouldn't these Tranches more likely fail and require being repurchased by the issuer?

IMO, the upper Tranches, continued performing and/or were liquidated by JPM to pay the investors.

It is plausible that, at minimum, a portion of the DB settlement could be distributed to our markers.
