my opinion on aurora:
Takeover - goes through, great. One of the largest cannabis companies. Doesn't, Aurora has cash and another takeover can be done. Or Aurora itself is taken over. As a shareholder, I'm happy in any of those scenarios. Having cash can also weather delays if canada doesn't legalize in mid-summer.

Aurora's partnering and creation of a vertical pot company - greenhouse to distribution. Great time to get 'em when these companies are cheap, would be more difficult and costly later. Can always sell them later if need be. Having a vertical in pot makes them a likelier target for takeover as well. all good.

Negatives - share dilution, growing very fast - can management properly manage the company they are building. These are very real concerns. But, Dilution, if increased profitability comes in 2018 can be reduced with share buyback. And it's only dilution if value added in purchases and partnering agreements doesn't result in increased revenue. None of these stocks will survive the bigger sharks of beverage companies and pharmaceuticals once they see who the key players are in 2018. I expect the current big 3 will all be consumed in 2018, so management long term is not an issue for me. There will be no Aurora or Canopy after 2018 imho.

Current value forecasting - new industry, forecasts difficult to do. What happens if the US muzzles the pixie from dixie in the AG office once they see the money to be made north of the border? Just like with casinos - morality goes out the window when there's money to be made. Sessions is a dinosaur in terms of influence on mj in the US - the twin taxation and profitability asteroids will end his epoch in 2018.

imho - stocks we are investing in now will be radically transformed in 2018, many will be swallowed up. Try to back several of these horses, watch the feeding frenzy, and hope you're backing the right horses.
