True. But my reference was regarding the first quarter of 2018 and not the current one. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear enough.

Earlier this week I tried my best to add things up and I could see a distribution in the n70 to 75 cent area, provided DK doesn't avail itself of opportunities to obfuscate the obvious which would amount to the company using up our rightful distribution rather than pay it out.

We're doing so well in these closing days of the year that I find no basis for vexation. Looking at NGL, ALDW, DK, DKL, ETP and EPD---what's not to like? Every single one of these has performed exquisitely leaving us all well ahead in surprisingly short amounts of time for all but ALDW and NGL which have been our steady partners for some time now.

As we go forward from this point in time, it seems to me we'll need to focus on the above picks while also casting a wary eye on our newer picks. Today, they all appear to be solid enough to suit me. However, we are, collectively speaking--- somewhat more aggressive than a lot of other stock oriented investors, and---as such---we need to never drop our guard. When we cease to be on high alert, we invite chaos and potential disaster in the form of losses that are very often preventable.

And this is where our boards prove to be invaluable.

Pete807--- many thanks for pointing out that we have every right to expect one last distribution. Yahoo! Finance has been projecting that this current quarter's earnings will be 51 cents against the 82 cents of the prior quarter. This points to a ratio of about 2:1 meaning that if the prior quarter speaks to what we should expect, the current Q may hand us just 25 cents. That would really stink in my book but when you've got 23 units paying 25 cents you're going to rake in a whole $5.75 and that ain't hay. Nope, it sure isn't...more like a couple of blades of grass.

It's times like this that I'm reminded of a child's story I wrote when I lost my vision (now restored). The tale was called, "Where's My Smile?"

We could all probably think about that title every so often as it may help us face realities in a different way. Change proves to be a more challenging reality than the act of accumulating wealth. That certainly applies as we come face to face with the likelihood that the distribution now being a topic of discussion is likely our last from ALDW. Yet each of our newer picks also pack enviable potentials from yields, appreciation or both.

Suggestion:

I'm going to take the wife out for a glitzy dinner in celebration of having re-engineered some of our finances in such a way as to have enabled profits not possible had we cut and run as some did.

I wonder where we can go out to dinner on $5.75?
