It strikes me that the sellers are unlikely to be people who bought recently and are panicking. There was too little volume in dollar terms to represent much of a loss. So you are most likely right that it is people who have been holding for awhile and want out at the first sign of strength. That pattern may change if we get a sustained move upwards, and fear of missing out overcomes fear of loss.
