There is a saying in my country, not sure if it’s translatable or not, but I will give it my best shot:

There isn’t an evil that can last a hundred years, nor a body that can resist it.

Basically, something has to give. Either the bad thing passes or the person stops resisting. We who believe in the business will continue to believe as long as the business proves to be profitable. The downtrend will pass. Those who are patient will taste the fruit of their patience.
