Not so fast.

The people of Alaska understand this, and have voted overwhelmingly in the past to ban the Pebble Project.



They (Alaska native corporations) also understand the Save the Salmon Initiative would drastically change their revenue sources. Red Dog mine, Donlin mine, Alpine Oil, Timber harvest in the south east, to name just a few, would all be negatively impacted by the SSI. The corporations are keenly aware of the fact that outsiders (non Alaskans) are behind this anti-development initiative which is largely funded by non-Alaskan entities. They strongly oppose outsiders telling them how to do business.

Alaska Native Corporations stand unanimously against this initiative.
