Reis & Irvy’s Froyo Robots will begin hitting the market in the first quarter of 2018 to aggressive demand and supported by a growing national and international franchise network.

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Reis & Irvy’s, the world’s first frozen yogurt robot franchise, is bringing the magical experience of delicious, on-demand frozen yogurt to high-traffic locations across North America. The company plans to launch 1,000 locations operating through pre-sold franchise agreements in the first half of 2018. In advance of the nationwide growth, the franchise has appointed global communications firm Ketchum as its PR agency partner.

“At the rate of growth we are anticipating, Reis & Irvy’s will redefine the frozen yogurt landscape, and we partnered with Ketchum to share our story,” said Nick Yates, chairman at Reis & Irvy’s. “Automation is increasing in the food industry but this is a new opportunity for consumers to have a personal interaction with a robot that offers an entertainment experience. It is essential to have an agency partner that understands each aspect of our business across the food, tech and franchise industries.”

Reis & Irvy’s machines offer seven varieties of premium frozen yogurt, ice cream, gelato or sorbets and six options of fan-favorite toppings with an interactive touch screen ordering process to serve up dozens of flavor and topping combinations. The process takes 60 seconds or less and eliminates the chaos of crowded buffet lines at brick-and-mortar locations, messy topping bars and potential price shock as the yogurt is weighed at checkout. The fully-automated, proprietary technology used to create this engaging customer experience also provides franchise owners critical system data directly to their phone and self-cleaning capabilities for turnkey operations.

The first Froyo Robots will launch this February, and the company is planning expansion into several markets in 2018, including Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Phoenix and more.

“We are excited to work with Reis & Irvy’s to offer this rapidly growing franchise our deep bench of food experts and marketing experience across B2B and B2C channels,” added Grainne Sweetman, vice president and food group manager at Ketchum West. “Reis & Irvy’s is driving the evolution of the food industry through its disruptive technology and we appreciate the opportunity to play a meaningful role in bringing robotic automation to consumers at a mass scale.”
