Your premise is wrong. Israel is different in that the oil is very deep and no big oil companies want to make large expenditures in Israel drilling deep wildcat wells. Big oi;l companies don't want to upset other countries drilling in Israel. Political risks have kept them from doing this. The Megido-Jezreel valley is ripe for exploration and Zion Oil is the one doing it!
