You want to act like this trade is fair, I guess you can say that since your a yankee fan, but it simply wasn't. the fact that the yankees get money. You realize if the marlins just held onto him he opts out in three years and they had him play for them for 3 years versus paying the yankees 35 million to take him, so basically they could of kept him for 3/42 million more or got nothing in return for him. The fact that current management can't justify spending 42 million more over 3 years to keep the reigning nl mvp is a joke in my opinion. And lets not make like this helps them rebuild, how they couldn't even get clint frazier. that is the problem with the marlins they should of known they had to keep them or at least temporarily pull him off the market letting people know they rather keep him, even if it was a bluff, but they just couldn't wait too get him off the books, and didn't care what they got back, heck they were so desparate to get rid of him they decided to pay the yankees to take him. This is on the marlins current organaztion for not having the [payroll flexibility to say I'm keeping him if the offers were that terrible. Simple as that.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
