"While I am a long-time supporter of the mining industry, I do not support the Pebble mine. There is simply not enough information today to support a project that can negatively impact the priceless salmon resource of Bristol Bay. Pebble has an incredibly high burden of proof. Frankly they have not met that burden with the people of the region nor with the commercial and sport fishing industries who depend on the salmon resource for their livelihoods and culture.
