You are blessed to live, as are we all. Life is, indeed, fragile when we try our best to clutch it. Yet we didn't create the lives we get to live; there's no greater blessing than the opportunity to live.

I am truly sorry that this occurred during your own chapters of employment. Having just interacted with the unfortunate man has to be especially painful as it forces you to reevaluate your own life's fragility. This reinforces for me the importance of acknowledging ways in which we profit through association with others we invite into our lives.

My best to you and your fellow workers, knowing how difficult this has to be for you. You are unusually sensitive to such matters. I'm betting you'll find ways in which to return a bit of this man's blessing to his family. Being the leader you are, I'm sure it will produce a fine, lasting effect.
