Squid, I do agree with your concerns. With the Master franchising plan, corporate will essentially be giving control to the Master franchisers with respect to ANY other locations in their designated area.

And they will also be giving up some profits since the Master franchisers will be getting a piece as well.

HOWEVER, on the flip side I don't see them having more than a handful of Master franchisers and I'm sure they will pick the absolute right people for these. And as far as profits go, the small percentage that corporate will be getting will be pure profit. Also, this will allow them to expand at a faster rate, which will have scale benefits amongst other advantages of being first to market with national board game/cafe concept.
