I can help answer the crypto part. HIVE is looking to mine ETH and not the other coin called Ethereum
Classic which is a very small cost compared to regular ETH. They also do not have plans to mine Bitcoin right now but mentioned ZCash and Monero as possibilities which are growing like crazy right now. Monero trades for about $250 a coin and Zcash for about $330. Both are expected to double in the next year.
