Maybe Trial announcements this week. Possibly during trading hours and possibly in conjunction with an FDA announcement.
As someone else posted, why go on an investor roadshow with nothing new to say and while the stock is in a slide with lingering doubts about developments?
As far as the share price slide, at least the gap was filled @$3.62. Also, technicals are showing downside momentum at actionable exhaustion (buy signal- for a low-risk long position) on the daily and 5 min charts and just a few bars away on the 15, 30 and 60 min charts. One can just examine the historical daily charts and see a long red candle after a prolonged slide and more often than not there will be a bounce at least for a few days. (Same for a long green candle -usually has a pullback)
This is the seventh week of the most recent slide without a reversal, AVXL is due to reverse on technicals alone.
LOOK at the charts! Last time AVXL traded at this level it recovered to $4.50s in two weeks and to $5.00s-4.90s in three weeks. That was August in the doldrums now we are on the cusp of exciting new developments.
When the Trial Designs together with the FDA agreed on endpoints are announced AVXL might fly due to the Market realizing that these endpoint requirements might be much more easily achievable than Trials of the past. Especially if Anavex is allowed to test for approval in Alzheimer's for symptomatic relief as it continues to pursue the 'tougher
nut to crack' of cognition and memory.
Look at the market cap of the company (also begins with A) that pursued a drug for dyskinesia (symptomatic relief of involuntary movement) in Parkinsonism.
A2-73 would be a blockbuster for symptomatic relief only but it has much further promise.
Those that would attempt to corner a tiger should be prepared for a fast and ferocious counter-attack.
The news we seek for Anavex A2-73 could come at any time now. Tuesday, Dec 5th during trading hours after a company requested trading halt to disseminate would be perfect but any day will do. It is time for Anavex to shine a light on all progress that has been going on behind the scenes with the Trials Designs and negotiations with the FDA.
