I'm not good at this, but the days to cover always bugs me.

I'm pretty sure the days to cover are based on average volume. So, I understand the number of shares short and the average daily volume. What gets me, on the day(s) of a short squeeze, the volume for a couple of days is anything but average. I see covering by the shorts in two trading sessions, max three.
I expect the shorts to have this covered in two days, and rise after announcement of 4,5,or 6 and a top of $10.00 maybe...Is this correct or incorrect thinking on my part? Anyone please...Thanks in Advance.
