SMH is (in a very general sense) a semiconductor ETF that is designed to follow the entire semiconductor chip and chip manufacturing equipment group. In other words, everything electronic in your house and your car and at your office falls in that group. If you have an LED flashlight, those LEDs and their manufacturers are in that group.
