In MS, Nerves Not "Broken," Simply No Insulation

are we sure myelin sheath regrowth actually improves patient outcomes in the real world? If the wire is broken, then it's broken right?

In multiple sclerosis, the nerves do not get "broken," where nerves are cut or open gaps occur; as would be the case if a power cord or phone line were cut. Nerves themselves are not lost; only their insulation, the myelin layer.

Yes, keep or restore the myelin sheath, and multiple sclerosis doesn't happen. With a functioning, intact myelin sheath (nerve insulation layer), health is normal.

If Anavex 2-73 restores lost myelin sheaths, it will definitely restore health to those with multiple sclerosis. Loss of the myelin sheath is the primary, core cause of MS symptoms.
