First let me say that I don't know for sure how Wave's technology will end up being bundled with the motherboard. What I do know is developing and deploying silicon is very expensive. The chipset is developed to support an assortment of CPU's. A given variant of the 865 chipset will support many motherboards, those made by Intel and those made by others. To think that Intel would devote a silicon device (or even a partition of a device) to support Wave technology on a single motherboard is absurd. I guess you could say that I have a very good idea of how Wave's technology won't be deployed. Therefore, I have no other option that to choose:
