He is correct, the quarter ending on September 30, 2017 was the companies year end quarter thus the 10k filing quarter, for the 10k the company is allowed 90 days from the end of the quarter to file, where a 10q is only allowed 45 days...

So the filing will not be late until Jan 1 2018...
