Well, it wasn't that long ago that Anthony Weiner was the poster child for disgusting behavior.

And Jeffery Epstein (although not a politician) is said to have plenty of friends in high places, for which he offers the privacy of an island for all their perversions.

So, the pendulum swings constantly from left to right and vice-versa.
