One word of caution with the HP,
I've had a 17" laptop with more bells and whistles than what you're looking at, but I've had to replace the hard drive twice in a year and a half. When at the parts counter at Micro Center buying the 2nd one I asked the guy 'any idea what's causing this'? A guy in line behind me said 'over heating maybe'? 'Bingo' thought I, so I bought the cheapest cooling pad they had and have been trouble free since (knock on wood), other than that I do like it.
