Advent Bioservices Ltd.

.. Is the new name for Cognate in the UK.

It changed a few months back.

Didn't previously know they had lab facilities at the Royal Free (in London.)
I guess in the last year they have been gradually preparing Sawston in advance of 'licensing.'
Though technically it is not their facility.
Once the whole facility is approved, there is massive physical space for expansion.

According to LinkedIn, they have a Head of Business Operations, a Director of Quality, and a GMP Production Scientist.
They are also advertising for a Quality Assurance Manager, who is presumably subordinate to the Director of Quality:-

The commercial use of Sawston should throw up some interesting contractual issues between NWBO and Advent.

Perhaps the new name was chosen to signify a new dawn in inter-company transparency!

One assumes they are still on track to become fully licensed and operational in Q1 2018. And in this respect, they have the best man as a consultant, namely Prof. Mark Lowdell, the Director of the Royal Free Hospital Centre for Cell, Gene and Tissue Therapeutics.
