while the exact value of WMIH is a function of shares outstanding and future potential earnings ---- it is off a base of 6B in NOL whose value increases with higher tax rates

the Senate Bill to cut corporate taxes to 20% (and toss a few crumbs to people) just added the elimination of the ACA MANDATE

Politics aside - I wonder if the market assumes that makes the Senate bill a much heavier lift and corporate tax rates may not go down or down that much

Such new belief would be one possible stretch explanation for the rise so far today

a likely better explanation is the PPS simply had no reason to be so insanely low
