In the company quarterly or annual financial reports, are they supposed to report gains or loss from lawsuit settlements? Should they hide that part revenue from investors? How do they by-pass this issue?

In lawsuit between residents, it breaks law for either side to leak the amount of money in settlement.But nobody is required to report personal settlement amount to public.
