I find it strange that you'll trust someone in PR and not a tweet, if the communicator and message would be otherwise the same.

I understand people want PRs for more eyes to see... But it's not a matter of trustworthiness. The speaker is either lying or not, and in both cases it's not allowed, but won't affect whether they do or not.
