I had a strong hunch that Q would reject the first $70 offer.

Next price tag is $75 - $80 range, with Q still rejecting the sweetened offer.

Whether that will bring a third offer to the table or just an offer to buy all the shares available at a price in that range is yet to be determined, but I think will make one additional offer around $82.50 for the whole ball of wax.

After all, if Broadcom's key customers have positive feedback (including Apple), then Q's battle with Apple might go by the wayside if Broadcom is successful in the buyout.

What Qualcomm should remember is 'A bird in the hand' (one of Broadcom's offers) 'is worth two in the bush' (QCOM's legal battle with Apple which MIGHT result in a loss of the Apple buisness and would cost tons of money to defend !
