Thanks gang for your kind wishes. We celebrated with our dear friends who define for us the real meaning of soul mate.
I've talked before about this older couple, they lost their spouses after years of care taking.
Neither one ever imagine they would find love again till they met each other. He was 74 and she was 69 when they met and moved in together after a 4 week dating process.For the last year & half they have been traveling all over the world and having this great romance that you think only exists in books or movies.
But every love story has an ending and my Friend was diagnosed with cancer and even though I know she won't be here much longer their love during this time is a real inspiration.
When our time comes, I only hope that my partner and I will have the strength and dignity to handle our goodbye with as much love and grace as they do. Needless to say this was the most meaningful anniversary we ever had.
