So what? Dredging up statistics to prove you're right is useless. The other side will have its statistics, which are equally worthless.

I say "buy them off". It will save us an enormous amount of money, in the long run, and greatly enhance our security. If someone can demonstrate that we only need to buy off 60,000 of them, so much the better.

Hard work often pays off over time,
but laziness always pays off right now.
