Hi, mmoy, the computer came (surprisingly) on Monday. We were somewhat dissapointed to find that HP does not support 64-bit Windows on any client (AMD or Intel). When 64-bit Adobe products are released (early next year, I am told) we want to be ready for them. I'll have to get an aftermarket upgrade of the OS; I don't know if that will be XP or the new OS coming out about that time. (I'm not sure if the Adobe products will be qualified on both.)

Meanwhile we'll run it using 32-bit XP and not void the support warranty quite yet.

(Actually, I have a 64-bit XP CD we purchased about a year ago. It doesn't recognize the SATA chip in the new laptop; the laptop does not have a floppy drive and Microsoft's installation is still too brain-dead to read a new driver from a CD. I don't have the time to pursue this, I need to get the new machine ready for the user.)
