What is to stop them from making and selling soup right now? They own all the equipment/assets, the brand, the recipes, even The Original Soupman Soup name. They don't need the liquidated company in order to continue operating as if they were the original company. The only difference is that they will be a privately held corporation rather than a publicly held corporation and they would have to remove references to the ticker SOUP from their boxes. If they can successfully improve the efficiency of production like they plan, then they will be very profitable and would never have any need to become a publicly held corporation. Although, I would suspect they would want to at some point in order to monetize their private holdings.
Don't think for a minute that Hagan and WC are going to let their shares be worthless. Who do you think has been dumping just enough shares each day to keep the pps remaining relatively high while they clear out their stash? I'm sure they got most of their shares for far below the current pps so they will come out of this smelling like a rose.
