I own a small pizzeria and just paid almost 10k for an accounting firm to audit my shop from January 1st through the end of August this year. It was a painstaking task on both ends, mine and theirs, that took almost a month.
The underwriter that requested the audit was breathing down my neck because the original time frame was 2 weeks. That deadline came and passed all the while the accounting firm kept asking me for more and more info...I can't imagine how long a company like Amfil takes to get audited. The firm can give an estimate of the duration of the audit but once the books open to any and everything can delay that deadline.
Circling back, the underwriter kept hounding me on the completion date but I couldn't find them an answer because it was completely out of my control so if anyone is mad at Roger or Amfil I would recommend that you relax...he has no control over the audits final deadline, all he can do is provide the info needed and wait for them to do their job.
