You don’t need much material to make those thin “suspension springs/wires” used for Image stabilisation, Those springs also need to be non-magnetic since the camera modules are stabilised using magnets.
Hundreds of fine adjustments per second needed, i wonder what type of flexible material can endure the millions of cycles over the devices lifetime.

Just 1 small example of BMG use in iDevices.

The material is difficult to produce, and difficult to widely used. Patent documents that the fatigue stress, the use of this technology factory continuously working for 15 years of solder spacing, each year can only produce a long 6000 km, 0.1 mm -25 mm thick, the widest 3 m LIquidmetal liquid metal.
