Gray means in between bid and ask. Red is closer to bid "sells" and green is closer to ask "buys".

If there's toxic debt like DRNK, then a lot of trades will be "sells" because they are short sales that are then covered by a debt holder at 50% of the selling price or so.

When you think "there can't be that many people falling for this", remember the Bernie Madoff story and recall that over $50 BILLION of smart money fell for a great story.
