The key point though is "buys" are not buy-only and "sells" are not sell-only. They are simply an indication of whether the trade price was closer to the bid or the ask.
It confuses a lot of newbie investors and leads to claims of market manipulation, which it's not.
When you think "there can't be that many people falling for this", remember the Bernie Madoff story and recall that over $50 BILLION of smart money fell for a great story.
