Things seem to be lining up. Why would you do such a small raise to select investors if you didn't have a solid short term plan?
1. raise $500,000 to get to December 31st...
2. Announce lawsuit settlements and no monetary damage, lift the cloud
3. quickly announce either peer article publication or release date
4. announce top line results and estimated unblinding timeline.

Stock moves up, financing isn't a problem any longer.
