I think the clue to how poor AMD's intial 65 nm yields are is in the fact they could not launch dual core parts with 2 X1 meg of L2; if they could and maintain thier profitability they would have; it's a shame that even at 65 nm AMD can not make large die sizes in numbers to compete with Intel, unless they get thier act together it does not bode well for AMD's quad core parts.
