Please provide a link showing this is Anavex's 2nd attempt at bringing 2-73 to market. I have never heard this before, and to my knowledge, isn't true.

There is no link to provide. It is my characterization of the history of the company. Basically check the stock price, history and leadership of the company. This is my interpretation:

The drug was discovered in the mid 90's, and in 2006, the inverntor, Dr. V, piggy backed the stock of a printer company in an attempt to bring the drug to market. This is what I call the 1st attempt and resulted in what many concluded was a scam. It used a conventional approach that was engulfed in bad management and shady financing etc. The stock peeked in 2008 and dived until Tom Scarpelos decided to "drain the swamp". He parted ways with Dr. V and hired Dr Missling and embarked in a non-conventional approach. This is what I characterize as the second attempt. It is easy for many to look at the history and conclude the same result. I don't see it this way, and understand AVXL's approach. It is not a scam. Having said that, it does not mean the drug works. Many legitimate companies have drugs that fail. I believe there is a good chance AVXL will succeed.
