I am not a Californian, so I have no way to participate in that election. However, for whatever it is worth, a recall process which is not precipitated by major misdeeds (fraud, embezzlement, both as determined by court, not by public opinions) is a travesty and a permanent danger to California's political stability. If that recall works, and let say Arnold wins, what will prevent a wealthy democrat (even an out of state one) from pouring few millions in collecting few hundred thousands signatures necessary to recall Arnold? A minute minority of few hundred thousand voters being allowed to subvert the will of the people, millions of them that voted in the last election is nothing short of a travesty and a mockery.
I hope California comes back to its senses and not only kill the recall, but also changes its constitution to raise sharply the barriers to such recalls in the future. Otherwise, chaos will reign.
