My worries are with not reporting the 10-k, which would indicate there could very well be a problem with the audit that they may not be able to complete, and also failing to file an NT for the subsequent quarterly.

Why would they not at least keep up with their reporting obligation and file the NT-10Q regardless of whether the audit was on its way to being completed?

This is all very odd -- on top of that there's no communication whatsoever! To me, that's not a good sign by any stretch.
