Besides the passing of Gord Downie, popular Canadian culture suffered a second blow this week with the passing of John Dunsworth from Trailer Park Boys.
Personally as sitcoms go, I go more for "Made in Canada" (which happens to use "Blow at High Dough" for the theme song, most appropriately). It was set in the Canadian TV and movie industry, and used plenty of topical subjects, but also had many plots about the Canadian stock market and business climate. It ran for awhile in the US on Bravo as "The Industry", but is not really available anywhere. The first season came out on DVD, and they occasionally rerun episodes on a Canadian cable comedy channel, but otherwise it is hard to find. Worth watching, though. In many ways, it is the complete opposite of "Trailer Park Boys".
