Because, for many(?) companys TA knows the share structure! I am in another ticker (NS*V) which was not current until a month or so ago and the TA (after it was "ungagged" a year or so ago) gave out the share structue all the time! Some called DAILY to make sure the O/S wasn't increasing. A sign of dilution. So, I guess, it depends on the TA. By the way, I was told that Action Stock Transfer does NOT give it out! Not a good sign, imo.. (I'll call later and get their word personally).
