First,No legal training at all. But using some personal experience, my GUESS is that he ran short on money and someone who could provide that has stepped in because they believe that they see a good potential for profit. I would PERSONALLY expect to see a settlement. Disclosure: Watching for bottom to get back in. A settlement would at least put this to bed.
