It costs a ton of money to set up your own sales force so maybe that is how the robot guys did it.
For example, I follow a med device company with a very useful product that has no competition that has assembled a 22 person sales force in the US yet sales are very low after 3 years and they have burnt up their cash twice - had to do 2 more financings. Sales increase 20% per quarter but the totals are small for such a large force.
